Vintage 1960s McCoy Cookie Jar - Gold and Ivory Cookies Design circa 1964
{HISTORY}
No stranger to pottery making, McCoy first began in 1848 in Ohio where it thrived in business for over 130 years. One of the most popular potteries in U.S. history, McCoy pieces are beloved by collectors around the world for their dynamic shapes, beautiful color palettes, and quality craftsmanship.
This vintage McCoy cookie jar (or should we say cookies jar!) debuted in 1964. Featuring shiny gold detailing this design was right on trend for the mid-1960s when shoppers were interested in kitchenware that featured platinum, silver and gold embellishments. Simple yet dramatic, this classic cookie jar could be from any decade, but we think it looks particularly outstanding in kitchens that favor 1920s-1930s aesthetics, modern minimalist decor, and gold and ivory color palettes.
In absolutely gorgeous condition, the gold band, lettering, stripes, and knob are very reflective catching the light beautifully bringing a little extra shimmer to your kitchen and your baking endeavors,
