Vintage Hand-Embroidered Linen Tray Liners - Set of Three Floral Mats
{HISTORY}
Featuring an array of brightly-hued garden flowers, these hand-embroidered tray liners are just what the winter-weary heart ordered back in the day to immediately fill the kitchen with colorful cheer.
Sized for serving trays, these three also double as placemats or table linens for serving all sorts of food from tea and coffee to an array of mealtime marvels. Containing two different sizes within this one set, there's a large tray linen and two smaller matching linens. Possibly these could have been made for use to line two tv trays and a carrying tray. A little dinner ala two in front of the tube to watch American Bandstand or Johnny Carson or any of the other popular midcentury favorites. How fun!
Stitched on soft, silky linen that has lovely drape to it, the thread colors include baby blue, pink, marigold, watermelon green, lavender, chocolate and light gray.
Nowadays, if you are a sewer or of crafty ingenuity, these three pieces, in addition to their original function, also offer lovely inspiration for all sorts of sewing projects. From cloth market bags to kitchen window seat pillowcases to cafe-style drapery panels, there is lots of creative potential wrapped up in these three.{SPECIAL FEATURES}
