{HISTORY}

The very first set of Pyrex mixing bowls debuted in the 1940's. It was a set of four nesting sizes that contained the primary colors yellow, red, green and blue. A popular and colorful kitchen set, these favorites remained favorites for the next thirty years, continuously in manufacture decade by decade. Alongside those originals, new Pyrex patterns in a wide variety of shapes and colors debuted every few years throughout the 20th century, making the world of vintage Pyrex collecting wonderfully colorful, festive and fun.

This petite 1 1/2 pint yellow green mixing bowl was made between 1967-1972 for the Verde pattern which included a Mediterranean olive pattern on some pieces and an array of green hued dishware. Originally part of a three piece set that graduated in both size and color, this pretty bowl was the smallest of the set and sits somewhere on the shade scale between a golden delicious apple and an almost ripe lemon or an overly ripe avocado. Paired next to other green shades it takes on a slightly verdant tint, but next to other yellows it takes on a more sunny shade making it a perfect little chameleon for your kitchen decor whether you are a fan of green or yellow dishware.
