Meet Bear, the Borzoi!

Bear is all dog when it comes to shape and form, but he's got a cute little face that resembles the sweetest of polar bears, hence his name.

Made in Japan in the mid-20th century, Bear has journeyed a long way from his birthplace. True to his canine heritage, he's an independent spirit who loves to explore new places and meet new people.

Kind, calm, and very smart, all Borzois have a good nature and a gentle spirit. Bear is no different. He often gets confused with being a shepherd or a collie given his long, wispy locks but his thin nose and his spotted coat signify his distinct Borzoi breeding.

Super handsome and full of personality from all angles,  Bear has kept himself in great shape throughout his seventy years of life. An old soul for certain but always up for a new adventure, he can't wait to see where life takes him next. 

Bear's favorite spot in the kitchen is on a shelf, preferably near a window so that he can keep an eye on all the beauty of the outside world as well as all that delicious magic swirling around the cook space inside.

If he could be a touch more particular, he'd love to call home a place near the coffee station. Or the teapot. That's just fine too. That way he'll get to see your face first thing in the morning and start your day off in the best way possible... with a winning smile and lots of love.

The kitchen is so much more fun when there is a pup around. Especially when it's a Borzoi who happens to look a bit like a bear.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition, this porcelain pup contains no chips or cracks. There is light wear to two of the spots on his coat. The word Japan is both impressed in the clay near his belly and also stamped on the underside of one paw. As is the nature with porcelain, tiny black spots occasionally appear in the clay. A few of those randomly appear on both sides of his body giving Bear a unique one-of-a-kind appearance. Please see photos.
