{HISTORY}

Pretty on the inside and out, this matching set of four vintage tea cups is quite the set of eye-catchers. Feminine but sturdy, they feature delicate gold lace filigree on the exterior, a pale pink rose on the interior and gold dipped handles. Like the supermodels of the dish world, these four look great from every angle - whether you stack them all up in a row, display them side by side or dangle them from their handles, there is not one way to show them off where they don't look gorgeous. 

Made by Paden City Pottery in their American Rose pattern, they once were accompanied by matching saucers that carried their gold filigree theme. Having been separated from them at some point in their journey we are left to only guess at their origin story ionced they left their West Virginia pottery.  

What is especially fun about this set of four is the color toning between the cups, as they evolve from a bright ivory to a deeper shade of pale beige. Most likely this is due to the area in the kitchen where they were stored. The two darker-toned ones perhaps sat closer to a heat source than the two brighter ones, causing a warm blush of color that adds a deeper level of beauty and character.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Some minor very light rubbing on some spots on the gold filigree. Designs are bright, crisp and clear.
