{HISTORY}

For true aficionados, there is no denying one's love for tea and the pretty cups they drink from. This pair of butter yellow and gold porcelain teacups was made between the 1940's and 1950's by Royal Halsey. Manufactured in Japan and imported to New York City by Lipper & Mann, these cups were destined for department stores, gift shops and interior design stores around New York City. Now they are destined for your shelf and your tea time and decades more drinking adventures.

With their autumn orchard fruit (apples and plums) design, dimpled rims, gold swags and pearlized, iridescent interiors, this pair is an ideal set for enjoying a cozy cup of tea or mulled wine on a cool and crispy Fall day. Originally, they came with matching saucers but at some point in their adventures from the 1940s to now their companion pieces separated leaving these two to navigate history on their own.

{CONDITION} 

In lovely vintage condition. One cup contains a minor hairline crack near the interior handle which does not affect the cups ability to hold liquid. There are also some light rub marks on the gold rims at the base of each cup. The colors and imagery on each cup are bright, clear and crisp.

Each cup measures 2.5" inches (height) x 3.5" inches (diameter).
