{HISTORY}

Showcasing that fabulous true 1920s-1930s English green, these gorgeous salad plates were made by Johnson Bros in the pottery hub of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England during the first part of the 20th century. 

Featuring a striped rim, a banded center and two different Bavarian-style floral bouquets on a bright white background color with a lightweight composition, this plate style was part of Johnson Bros. Pareek design, which attempted to mirror Irish Belleek and Parianware, an English style porcelain popular in the mid-1800s.

With very light crazing and a bright color palette, this pair is unique in aesthetic among antique dishes in that it looks both old-fashioned and contemporary at the same time. We especially love these two for wall decor just as much as table service.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful antique condition, these two plates contain no chips, cracks, spots or stains. The floral bouquets are crisp, clear, and vibrant in color. There is beautiful, very light crazing on both the front and the back.
