Part history book, part cookbook, and part lost recipe discoverer, this vintage 1967 World of Nut Recipes cookbook by writer Morton Gill Clark dissects culinary uses for nineteen commonly found nuts in the American landscape. How to cook them, store them and enjoy them, these recipes (some vegetarian but not all) feature interesting ways to incorporate one of nature's greatest proteins into your daily diet.  Recipes run the gamut across all meals of the day and situations from appetizers to desserts. Interesting ones include Pistachio Rice Stuffing, Pickled Walnuts, Creole Pralines, Coconut Spinach, Duck with Chestnuts, Old-Fashioned Butternut Cake, Brazil Nut Butter Sauce with Shrimp, Apricot Marzipan, Palace Bread, Almond Wine and the creatively named Poor Knights of Windsor with Almonds.

{CONDITION}

In great vintage condition, this cookbook is super clean and tidy. The dust jacket is a little chippy in some spots (mainly along the edges. The cover board spine is pulling away from the back of the book but the actual spine and all pages are intact, strong and secure. Very clean pages. The dust jacket bears some light spots due to age.
